Angela Yee will be parting ways with The Breakfast Club to start her own show.
Angela Yee, one of the hosts of the popular morning radio show The Breakfast Club, announced on-air Wednesday she was leaving after 12 years to launch her own nationally syndicated daily radio show.
Following last night announcement, The Breakfast Club “as you know it” will be ending on Twitter last night (Aug. 9), Yee clarified her statement on this morning's show, revealing she will be ending her tenure on the long-running morning show to do her own thing.
“This is something that I've been wanting to do for years now, since way before the pandemic," Yee told listeners. "I am going to be leaving The Breakfast Club. You guys will obviously continue on and it will be a different interaction of the The Breakfast Club. I will have my own show up here at iHeart as well."
Her new show is titled Way Up With Angela Yee.
