The Verzuz battle between The Lox and Dipset is often regarded as legendary because of its intensity, exceptional performances, and cultural significance. Many fans and critics viewed The Lox as the victors. Jadakiss, in particular, is often celebrated for his outstanding stage presence and lyrical prowess, which many believe dominated the event.

Cam’ron recently stated that he never intended to take part in Dipset's iconic Verzuz battle with The Lox in 2021. Discussing his regrets on a recent episode of It Is What It Is, Cam revealed that he has often been a "team player" throughout his career.

“I can name a lot of decisions that wasn't good because I was trying to be a team player. I should've never did the Verzuz, I told n****s don't do the Verzuz," Cam began. ”... It was the wrong decision that I made. No more of that... I've tried to be a team player a lot of times, but that's the first thing that came to my brain when you said, 'wrong decisions.'”

Although both groups boast legendary catalogs, The Lox outshined Dipset in their Verzuz battle. This episode remains one of the most iconic in the series, which made its much-anticipated return with a battle between No Limit and Cash Money in October.

In a recent episode of the Joe & Jada podcast, Jadakiss looked back on The Lox's performance, stating that he felt invincible at the time. “I was out of my mind,” he shared with Fat Joe. “I was in a completely different state that day. I’d never experienced anything like it before.
