"I’ll sit in jail for three or four days or whatever they want me to do. I’m an innocent man."
Dame Dash will be fully cooperating and turning himself in to the NYPD on a nearly three-year-old warrant for not paying child support, but that doesn't mean he's guilty—so says the mogul himself.
Talking to TMZ on Sunday night (March 3), Dash explained the situation with both of his exes—Cindy Morales, the mother of his son, Lucky, and Rachel Roy, the mother of his daughters, Ava and Tallulah. Dash alleges that he gives both women money on a regular basis, including $150,000 for Morales to purchase a home. As for Roy, he says the money would go into his share of her clothing company that he co-owned with her, the Rachel Roy Collection, and she would be able to withdraw her cut from there. He's currently in the process of buying out the whole company, however, so it's unclear how that would work moving forward.
Dash told the celebrity news site that it was time to finally address the issue because it was preventing him from moving freely around New York City, where he needs to go often for meetings and other business ventures.
"For some reason when I was in L.A., I got all these warrants saying I didn't pay child support," Dash said. And though he says it's a mix-up, he's willing to do whatever it takes to clear it up. "I’ll sit in jail for three or four days or whatever they want me to do. I’m an innocent man. There’s no reason for me not to turn myself in. I’m sick of my name being compromised."
The former Roc-A-Fella exec claims he has all the proof to back up his claims, and he is confident that the matter will be sorted out.
