Dave East Just Bought Its First Store In Harlem, NY
Nearly two-and-a-half years following Crenshaw-born legend Nipsey Hussle’s tragic shooting death in Los Angeles, Dave East is making sure The Marathon continues with his new Harlem storefront.
In a photo Dave East shared on Tuesday, (November 30th), posted on his Instagram page.
Bought My First Store Today,” The 33-year-old rapper penned in the caption. “I Told Nipsey He Laid The Blueprint For Real Ones Everywhere. Wish Shooter Could See This Shit. Coming Soon 2022 Couldn’t Have Made This Happen Without @queenofharlem The Realest!!!”
In addition to East’s store, his real estate agent Michelle Smalls also posted a clip of the rapper inside his newly acquired store. “Thank you @daveeast for trusting me with your real estate needs,” Smalls wrote in the post. “You kept it 100 and in return i saved you 70k. So proud of you. Time to buy the block.
It's no secret that Nipsey Hussle and Dave had a close bond, as the two collab on songs together and Dave often speaks about Nipsey’s impact in a lot of his interviews. Nipsey was shot and killed back in March of 2019 in the parking lot of his store, Marathon Clothing. Dave and Nipsey have collaborated on a few of songs together in the past, including “Blueprint” and “Clarity.”
