DJ Akademiks says Drake needs Hits, Hits, Hits on his next album ‘ICEMAN’: “We need this album to Last for Twelve months”

The internet personality and YouTuber strongly insists that Drake’s “Iceman” album must deliver hit after hit. He wants six songs to chart, aiming for an album reminiscent of “Scorpion.”

Ak goes on a rant while responding to BenDaDonnn on Twitch, who claims he has already listened to Drizzy’s “ICEMAN” album but still wants to hear some bars.

DJ Akademiks says Drake needs to achieve number one records to silence all the critics.

During Akademiks' most recent stream on Thursday, (April 2), he Ranted on Hits: Akademiks stressed that the album must have "hits, hits, hits" and should ideally feature many songs well at least six on the charts to strengthen his standing, aiming for a powerful release that reasserts top-level dominance.

“Scorpion-like” Expectations: He has framed this upcoming project “ICEMAN” as one of the most important in Drake's life, implying a need for a massive, comprehensive project that operates at the scale of Scorpion.

The “ICEMAN” Rollout: Akademiks has stated that the album is in its final stages, potentially dropping in early 2026, and is expected to be a solo project that "slaps".

According to Ak, this album is crucial because it serves as a response to recent scrutiny, with an amazing project designed to show that Drake has recovered quickly and remains the GOAT.

Drake has been teasing his forthcoming Iceman album for over a year, first confirming the project last February during a tour stop in Australia.

"Eventually, when the time is right, Drizzy Drake alone by himself is gonna have to have a one-on-one talk to y’all," he told the Australian crowd. "When the time is right, I’ll be back with another album—a one-on-one conversation with y’all that you need to hear."

Last July, he confirmed the album title on his $ome $exy $ongs 4 EU Tour with PartyNextDoor

"I'm working on my album, Iceman," he told those in attendance. "We got a lot to talk about. So, I'm looking forward to it."

Since then, he's continued to tease the project. The rollout has included the Iceman YouTube series and multiple singles, including "Which One" featuring Central Cee, "What Did I Miss" and "Dog House" featuring Yeat and Julia Fox.

In recent weeks, speculation about the album dropping has been heating up. Last week, several Drake affiliates changed their social media profile photos to the same picture of a huge diamond.
