Megan Jovon Ruth Pete was born February 15, 1995. known professionally as Megan Thee Stallion is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and model from Houston, Texas.
She first gained attention when videos of her freestyling started going viral on different social media platforms. In 2018, Megan signed to 300 Entertainment where she released the mixtape Fever, the extended play Suga and her debut studio album Good News. All of these peaked in the top 10 of the Billboard 200.
Her single Savage (Remix) featuring pop star Beyoncé and her appearance on Cardi B's hit single WAP, both reached number on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. WAP also provided Megan with her first number one in several other countries. In just a short time span, she has received several accolades including two BET Awards, five BET Hip Hop Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, a Billboard Women in Music Award and four nominations at the Grammy Awards.
