J. Cole Confirms he's dropping His 6th Album

st night J. Cole set the Internet ablaze when he dropped off "Middle Child," a T-Minus-produced new song that acts as a showcase for all of Cole's technical mastery. Now, it looks like that song might've been a sign of a brand-new solo album from the rapper.

Earlier today  (Jan. 24), Dreamville announced that J. Cole is currently in the studio working on completing his sixth studio album. Although the title has not been confirmed, Cole indicated last year that he's been putting in work on both The Fall Off album and his Kill Edward project. However, the label doesn't specify which project will serve as the follow-up to KOD.

There's no release date confirmed for J. Cole's sixth album, but it doesn't seem like it's dropping during the first half of the year. Along with Revenge of the Dreamers III, Dreamville is planning to drop Ari Lennox's Shea Butter Babyalbum as well as Earthgang's Mirrorland.

Cole's album would most likely drop after everyone else. However, he could also drop it with barely a week's notice much like his previous LP.
