J. Cole has announced a new documentary. Applying Pressure: The Off-Season Documentary arrives on Monday (May 10) at 1 p.m. Eastern. The Scott Lazer-directed film will offer a peek behind the scenes of Cole’s upcoming album The Off-Season.
Dreamville-founder showed a clip of the film, which shows the star in the studio, playing basketball and travelling. “This is the moment that a lot of your favorite rappers hit a crossroad,” says Cole while his “i n t e r l u d e” plays in the background. “Are you okay with getting comfortable? Did you leave no stone unturned creatively?”
He then adds, “And when I thought about that feeling, I’m like, ‘Nah, I’m not cool with that.'”
The North Carolina star will release his new album ‘The Off-Season’ on Friday (May 14), the long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s ‘KOD’.
