J. Cole has done it again—this time with features.
J. Cole sixth studio album The Off-Season is now Certified Platinum
The Dreamville rapper and founder breaks his 'No Features' streak with new platinum album,
becoming his sixth album to go platinum, not including the Dreamville compilation Revenge Of The Dreamers III, on which Cole also holds top billing.
According to Chart Data, the Dreamville rapper’s latest effort, The Off-Season, surpassed one million sales in the U.S., making it eligible for platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Chart Data confirmed the accolade Wednesday (December 22), exactly seven months after Off-Season was released, and about five months after it was certified gold.
Cole’s manager and Dreamville Records co-founder, @KingOfQueenz, celebrated the achievement on Twitter while reminding fans that Cole’s platinum streak stretches back to the pre-streaming era. “Since back when CD’s was around…,” he wrote.
