The first full-length trailer for Lifetime and A&E's Janet Jackson documentary has arrived.
Lifetime releases trailer for Janet Jackson documentary ‘JANET’
Janet Jackson has shared the first look at her forthcoming biopic, JANET. The 55-year-old weighs in on the fallout over the Justin Timberlake Super Bowl controversy, Janet is going to give the world a lot of raw insight into Jackson's relationship with her family — notably, with her brother Michael.
In the trailer, Jackson confirms that Michael and Randy were the two brothers she was closest to. When asked how the sexual misconduct allegations by multiple accusers over the years against Michael affected her, she doesn't mince words.
"Guilty by association," she admits. "Because that's what they call it, right?"
The premiere date for the highly-anticipated Janet Jackson documentary has been revealed. On Saturday (Jan. 1), both Lifetime and A&E shared a new three-minute trailer for JANET, which will debut on both networks on Jan 28.
The two-part documentary has been five years in the making. According to Lifetime, JANET is a celebration of the 40th anniversary of Jackson’s self-titled first album, which she released as a 16-year-old in 1982.
