Jay-Z interested in owning english soccer team ‘Tottenham Hotspur’
The Brooklyn mogul is reportedly ready to invest in the North London club.

Jay-Z wants to buy Tottenham Hotspur Football Club
Jay-Z is reportedly interested in a takeover of Tottenham, with the Premier League giants.
Football365 reported, On Sunday (July 30), that Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter is eyeing to purchase Tottenham Hotspur from British billionaire Joe Lewis, whose family trust currently owns the soccer team. Lewis, however, the club’s owner is convicted of fraud and insider trading, a close business associate has told Daily Express US.

According to The Guardian, Lewis is now convicted — which would also mean that Lewis would have to give up his vested interest in the North London Premier League team.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges, also charged with three counts of insider trading by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The move comes 13 years after Jay-Z expressed interest in becoming a major investor in North London rivals Arsenal — he revealed he had become a huge fan of the team then led by his favourite player, Thierry Henry.
Jay-Z’s current net worth stands at a cool $2.5 billion (£1.9bn), according to Forbes, with investments spanning across 45 companies through his venture capital firm Marcy Venture Partners.
More than a few of the very top clubs there – like Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea – are now under US ownership and Jay would jump at the chance of a controlling interest at board level somewhere with the global reach of Spurs,” the associate told Football365.
“It remains to be seen whether Mr. Lewis will walk away free. If he doesn’t, Jay has said he wants to be in a position to move quickly if he feels the price is right. He believes this is achievable, especially with the backing of fellow investors.”
It’s not confirm yet, what the purchase price of Tottenham Hotspur will be in this circumstance, or what other investors will team up with JAY-Z to secure the investment.
