Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins and Jeannie Mai will continue to amicably co-parent their one-year-old daughter, Monaco.
According to Entertainment Tonight, a source close to the Atlanta rap legend and former co-host of The Real said that they didn’t agree on “certain family values and expectations,” which led to Jeezy filing for divorce last week, a source told “Entertainment Tonight.”
“They had different views, and each felt like their needs weren’t being completely met,” the insider added.
In court documents stated by Jay Wayne Jenkins — that his marriage to Mai, 44, was “irretrievably broken.”
The Grammy nominee, 45, also asked for joint legal custody of their 1-year-old daughter, Monaco. He also stated in the court documents that he and the TV host have a prenuptial agreement in place.
