Judge ordered Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty to serve house arrest after threatening Offset

The superstar husband, Petty had been previously sentenced to three years probation for failing to register as a sex offender.

Kenneth Petty is back on House Arrest after violating the terms of his Three-Year probation

Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald ordered Kenneth Petty to serve up to 120 days of house arrest.

According to the document filed on Wednesday, Petty was recorded on video “making threatening remarks towards a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.” Legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff, who first reported the news, claimed on Twitter that the “individual is Offset, Cardi B’s husband.”

The reporter pointed out on Wednesday night that a federal judge in Los Angeles has ordered Nicki Minaj’s husband—who also goes by Zoo and is a convicted sex offender—to serve up to 120 days on home arrest.

The filing states that Petty’s probation officer “believes placement in the Location Monitoring Program will effectively allow for closer monitoring of Mr. Petty’s activities, limit his movements, provide a sanction for his non-compliance, and hopefully encourage him to reflect upon and reevaluate his current status in the community.”

In July 2022, Petty was ordered to one year of home confinement and three years of probation for failing to register as a sex offender.

He took a plea deal the year prior, admitting that he failed to register as a sex offender after he moved to California with Minaj following their 2019 marriage. Petty was convicted for the attempted rape of Jennifer Hough in 1994, serving over four years in prison.

Last Saturday, (September 16), in two Instagram Stories that have since expired, Offset records himself laughing presumedly at Nicki Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, and his crew who posted videos issuing veiled threats at the Migos rapper. It is alleged that Offset sent a direct message to one of Petty's crew members during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday (Sept. 12), which prompted them to post angry videos on social media aggressively looking for Offset in New York.
