Justin Laboy Claimed Kanye West Dropping New Album This Week
Media personality, Internet sensation, and the host of Respectfully Justin on REVOLT, announced some major news—sharing that it could be released “this week.”
Kanye West reportedly held a private listening party for a new album in Las Vegas.
Laboy hopped on Twitter Sunday (July 18), to share that ‘YE’ played the record for him and Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant after the pair were spotted together in Las Vegas this weekend. And now, Justin is sharing that Yeezy’s potential upcoming release has production that’s “light years ahead of its time.”
“Kanye played his new album for me & @KDTrey5 last night in Vegas. Man listen! The production is light years ahead of it’s time, and the bars sound like he’s broke & hungry trying to get signed again,” Laboy wrote. “Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back #Respectfully.”
"ALBUM OF THE YEAR. DONT @ ME," he added in a follow-up post.
On Sunday night in Las Vegas, Kanye reportedly hosted a listening party for his record, and photos have surfaced on social media of fans lining up and entering a church to get a listen.
In addition to Kanye's potential upcoming release, The muted video shows Kanye playing new tracks for Tyler, the creator.
The two working in the studio has now reinvigorated talks of the shelved DONDA album finally releasing!
DONDA, the follow-up 2019’s Jesus Is King, was slated to drop last July before being delayed several times. The album was previously titled God’s Country, but was changed to honor his mother, the late Donda West, who died in 2007 from surgery complications.
