Best New Tracks: André 3000, Drake, Lil Wayne x 2 Chainz

Drake, Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz, Danny Brown and More New Music Friday Releases To Ride Out To.

This week’s lineup is led by André 3000, Drake and Lil Wayne with 2 Chainz, Tory Lanez who released the projects New Blue Sun, Scary Hours 3 and Welcome 2 ColleGrove, respectively. Also joining this selection are offerings from Danny Brown, Shygirl, No Guidnce, Daniel Noah Miller and CyHi Da Prynce with Pusha T.

The Toronto singer, Tory Lanez has added ten tracks one of which was already released. That would be "Hurts Me" with Yoko Gold and Trippie Redd, which is also turning into a fan favorite. One of the interesting tidbits about the new tracks is the reference to a Jay-Z track. On "Prom King // Love On Acid" he nabs the melody from "Young Forever" from The Blueprint 3. Be sure to check out the deluxe with the links above.

Drake delivers the third installment in his ongoing EP series, Scary Hours. The Boy revealed in a teaser that he created the project in just five days, and that didn’t have any bars written down during the process of the EP’s immediate predecessor For All the Dogs. This may be the last project from the artist in a while, as he previously stated that he could be taking a short break due to some health issues.

Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s ColleGrove sequel, Welcome 2 ColleGrove, is here after seven years. The 21-track effort includes guest appearances from 21 Savage on “Big Diamonds,” Usher on “Transparency,” Fabolous on “PPA,” Benny the Butcher on “Oprah and Gayle,” Vory on “Godzilla,” Rick Ross on “Can’t Believe You” and Marsha Ambrosius on the closer “Moonlight,” and reassures fans that the duo’s chemistry is as electric as ever.

André 3000’s New Blue Sun is a dream come true for many. The eight-track album marks his first album in 17 years and his debut solo studio effort, and although it doesn’t come with the raps that fans expected it to, the instrumental record is the next step into 3 Stacks’ creative evolution.
