Lil Wayne teases new project Tha Fix Before Tha VI.
The New Orleans legend drops cover art for forthcoming new project that will serve as an appetizer for fans ahead of Tha Carter VI. On Wednesday (Sept. 20), Lil Wayne unveiled a pre-save link to a project titled Tha Fix Before Tha VI, along with red-hued artwork for the upcoming effort. No other details have been revealed, including the project’s release date. It is being speculated that Tha Fix Before Tha VI will contain singles like “Kant Nobody” and “Kat Food.”
The artwork red-hued cover is reminiscent of 2011’s Sorry 4 The Wait mixtape, which itself served as a warm-up for the fourth installment in his flagship Tha Carter series.
Lil Wayne spoke with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1 about the upcoming sixth entry in his long-running Tha Carter series.
“I never even imagined,” Wayne said at the time. “That didn’t even sound right years ago. I can’t believe we’re at Carter VI. My fans know I give my all. Go listen to my last feature and know it’s gonna be a thousand times better than that.”
Wayne first teased Tha Carter VI during a Young Money reunion performance in August 2022 at Drake’s October World Weekend festival in Toronto.
Since then, he’s released a handful of potential singles including the DMX-sampling, Swizz Beatz-produced “Kant Nobody” and “Kat Food,” which also flips a classic record from Missy Elliott.
