The YMCMB trio shared the stage for the first time in almost a decade at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage for the slightly-delayed third and final night of Drake’s October World Weekend festival.
Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne perform together on stage for a Young Money reunion concert in Toronto on Saturday night (August 6), during the Young Money Reunion concert, Weezy confirmed that he's working on the sixth installment of Tha Carter series.
In an Instagram video shared via The Shade Room — Lil Wayne is standing onstage with fellow Young Money superstars Drake and Nicki Minaj at the Young Money Reunion concert in Toronto last night. As they prepare to close out the show, Weezy F. Baby interrupted Drake’s farewell speech to reveal his Tha Carter VI album is on the way. “I’m working on Carter VI, coming soon!” he told the crowd.
Drops the microphone. There was also a giant sign that flashed on the video screen that simply read, "THA CARTER VI"
Tha Carter VI — the follow-up to 2018’s oft-delayed That Carter V, which was originally believed to be the final installment in Lil Wayne’s flagship series — has been in the works since at least 2020.
