The five-time GRAMMY-winning rapper took to Instagram to tease the collaborative effort and unveil the pre-save link, with the track released on February 23. Although unconfirmed, there are speculations that “Kant Nobody” will serve as the lead single of his highly-anticipated album, Tha Carter VI.
Swizz’ produced beat for the snippet bears a passing resemblance to DMX’s “N-ggaz Done Started Somethin” from his 1998 debut It’s Dark & Hell Is Hot. The similarity was noted by producer Dame Grease who commented, “Ohhh a remake to one my classics!! #VacantLot”
Swizz Beatz has been producing world-beating hits for two decades, His discography includes DMX’s “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” T.I.’s “Bring Em Out” and Beyonce’s “Ring the Alarm,” among many, many others.
