Ludacris made a major comeback with his rap-focused single "44 Bars," which he released at midnight on Friday (December 5), as a surprise on all streaming platforms. This track highlights his lyrical prowess after a break from solo music, and it's a raw, boom-bap style piece that fans have eagerly anticipated.

Ludacris took to his Instagram page the day before the release to unveil the surprise, sharing the track artwork and captioning it with how he “felt inspired.” The beat, characterized by its minimal elements and solid groove, offered Luda plenty of space to showcase his skills.

The track was released soon after his visit to Qatar to watch F1. No matter when it was recorded, it definitely has the polish of a hit and the potential of a swiftly rising, lyrically crafted hip hop record.
