The New York Queen's native fifth studio album, "Pink Friday 2," has reached a significant milestone by reaching platinum eligibility in the US, as reported by Chart Data on Sunday (Jan. 14), Minaj's successful debut, which saw it claim the number-one spot on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States.


‘Pink Friday 2’ contained 22 songs, including collaborations with Future, J. Cole, Lil Wayne, and more. It was led by hit singles such as “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” “Last Time I Saw You,” as well as 2022 the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “Super Freaky Girl.” As a result, the album went on to see a number one debut in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. Moreover, it also marked Nicki’s third number one album of her career.


According to Chart Data, it’s now reached platinum eligibility in the US. This comes after selling over 1 million units. Since Nicki Minaj’s release of Pink Friday 2, she has added three more songs to the album. These have included a “Beep Beep” remix with 50 Cent, “Love Enough” featuring Monica and Keyshia Cole, and “Press Play” featuring Future.


Minaj’s 'Pink Friday 2' World Tour is also set to kick off on March 1, in Oakland, CA. It will go on to conclude on June 7, in Berlin, Germany. Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2” reaches platinum eligibility.
