Rapper PnB Rock shot and killed at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles in Los Angeles

PnB Rock, the Philadelphia rapper best known for his 2016 hit “Selfish,” was fatally shot during a robbery at the Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles ─ Rest in Peace, PnB Rock.

PnB Rock has died at the age of 30 after recently being shot in Los Angeles.


On Monday (September 12), the Philadelphia rapper Rakim Hasheem Allen, passed away after succumbing to gunshot wounds he suffered during a reported attempted robbery, according to the Los Angeles Times this afternoon.


The Los Angeles Police Department Capt. Kelly Muniz, who did not identify the victim based on the Times' report, the shooting transpired at 1 p.m. at the Roscoe's House of Chicken 'N Waffles located on Main Street and Manchester Avenue. The victim, PnB Rock, was transported to a hospital and was pronounced dead at 1:59 p.m.


Muniz stated that the suspect, who doesn't appear to be in custody as yet, brandished a weapon inside of the restaurant and demanded items from the rapper. Reports say PnB was targeted for his jewelry.


“He shot the victim and ran out the side door to a getaway car and then fled the parking lot,” she said.

The Times wrote that the shooting happened at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ’N Waffles as PnB Rock was “being robbed of his jewelry.” TMZ reported that law enforcement received a call about the incident at 1:23 p.m. and that graphic footage circulating online showed him “fighting for his life.” Police told reporters the victim was pronounced dead at a hospital at 1:59 p.m.


The Times says Muniz also revealed the suspect “shot the victim and ran out the side door to a getaway car and then fled the parking lot.”
