Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg announce New 'Gin & Juice' Drink
Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are teaming up for a new alcoholic beverage inspired by one of their biggest hits from early in their careers. 1994 single "Gin and Juice.
On Saturday (February 10), the duo shared a cinematic trailer for their new ‘Gin & Juice’ product that features, Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop is a canned beverage of premium gin-based cocktails that comes in four flavors: Citrus, Melon, Passionfruit, and Apricot.
The drink is the first launch from Snoop and Dre's new premium spirits company, with more products expected to be announced in the future. Gin & Juice will be distributed nationally through Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits and have begun rolling out nationwide.
The 5.9 percent alcohol beverage was prominently featured towards the end of the teaser, which saw Dre and Snoop dressed in black suits and white button-ups as they put a spin on a scene from the 90s cult classic film. From them arguing in a parked car and popping the trunk to retrieve something that had to be buried in an impromptu grave to the music that cued during the video, it all felt like the lead-up to a music announcement.
“Am I crazy for thinking we were about to get some new music?” asked one person in response to the music producer’s tweet sharing the video. A second person commented, “Dre and Snoop, stop playing.” While a third wrote, “[I] was expecting a Dr. Dre album and a film at the same time, the way it was [shot].”
Based on a clip shared by the legendary team’s joint Twitter account, the drink will come in four flavors: Apricot, Citrus, Melon and Passionfruit.
