Missionary Album Update: dynamic duo were first spotted reuniting in the studio.

The release date still remained unclear for the project, Snoop confirmed in the caption that fans will soon get their hands on some new music from the West Coast legends.

The Long Beach emcee hopped on Instagram Thursday (June 9), to share a photo of Dre sitting behind the boards, coffee in hand, as he reflectively chips away on some new tunes.

Last October, Snoop confirmed that Missionary was in the works during an appearance on Steven A. Smith’s podcast, Know Mercy. “I’ma tell you this, you’re the first one to hear this: me and Dr. Dre have been working on an album for the past two months,” he revealed. He went on to claim “it’ll be done in November.” Snoop continued, explaining, “It’s produced by Dr. Dre, it’s our 30th anniversary to Doggystyle. And the name of the album is Missionary.” When asked to share why they chose the name, Snoop simply told the host, “The first album was Doggystyle.”

“I'ma tell you this, you’re the first one to hear this: me and Dr. Dre have been working on an album for the past two months,” Snoop said at the time. “And it’ll be done in November. It’s produced by Dr. Dre, it’s our 30th anniversary to Doggystyle. And the name of the album is Missionary.”

When Smith asked: “Why that name?” Snoop replied: “The first album was Doggystyle,” prompting a roar of laughter from the sports personality. “That is beautiful. I love it, man,” Smith commented.
