A Sculptor in LA of Kobe Bryant, daughter Gianna Bryant Placed At Crash Site On 2-year Anniversary of Deaths
It's been two years since the tragic death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna. To honor them and the seven victims who lost their lives in a helicopter crash near Calabasas, Calif. on Jan. 26, 2020, L.A.-based.
A statue of Kobe and Gigi has been constructed on at he site where the father and daughter, along with seven other victims.
The statue, which was built by Dan Medina, is 160 pounds and made of bronze. At the base of the statue, it read, “Heroes come and go, but legends are forever.” The names of all nine victims of the Jan. 26, 2020 helicopter crash were also written on the bottom. The piece will only be at the location temporarily. Medina is planning to take it down by sunset, in hopes that the city will build a larger version to honor the Black Mamba.
