The hip-hop community has called for an adidas boycott in solidarity with friend and fellow producer Kanye West aka Ye.

Yeezy Donda · Sports has been speaking out against Adidas and their Executives for a new sneaker release that resembles his Yeezy sneakers. In recent Instagram posts, the Yeezy creator called out the brand for stealing his designs and trying to buy him out of his contract.

“YE is only asking for his work to be respected and not stolen that’s not crazy to me !! We not buying these !!!!!!!!!!!! @adidas you’re supposed to be original do the correct thing please !!!”

Kanye re-shared Swizz Beatz’s post and wrote in the caption: “That’s love.” He later shared a photo of Swizz smiling with another caption that read: “This the energy.”

On Monday night, September 5th, Swizz took to his timeline to vocalize his support for Ye. (A photo of a pair of black and orange bootleg Yeezys with a red “X” through the middle.)

Swizz wrote in the caption: “I usually mind my business but this is DEAD WRONG! If we let them do this to @kanyewest it will happen to us also! This man created this groundbreaking innovation and it should be respected as a creative !

Diddy joined the war, with the latter threatening Adidas that if it doesn’t do right by Kanye, he’ll call for a boycott.

On Tuesday (August 6), Sean “Diddy” Combs took to his own social media profile to call out the athletic wear company for using the culture to make billions. “Since the era of Run-DMC @Adidas has always used hip hop to build its brand and make billions off of our culture,” Diddy wrote in a post shared to Instagram. “But we are much more than just consumers now, we’re the owners. @KanyeWest and YEEZY are the reason Adidas is relevant to the culture. We know our value!”

The Adidas brand has not yet responded to West's complaints. Check out T.I. and Consequence post below.
