T-Pain has crowned Drake the Musical “Simp King” & Admits “I'm Sprung” was him Simping to Hell

T-Pain recently joked during his Nappy Boy Radio podcast that Drake makes music about “simping.”

T-Pain jokes that Drake makes Simp Music

T-Pain says he was “Drake before Drake” due to his “simp” anthems.

The Tallahassee singer turned-podcaster says that Drizzy Drake has the making of “simping” music covered. While reflecting on his own history of hit songs about longing for women on Nappy Boy Radio, Pain explained that he doesn’t need to return to that era. He referenced “I’m Sprung,” “I’m N Luv (Wit a Stripper),” “and “Bartender” as examples.

“I had zero confidence in any of my music. I was always the simp, remember?” T-Pain began. “I was always the n-gga that didn’t have any confidence that anything could happen at all. I was always wishing for a girl.

“‘I’m Sprung’ – that was about me simping to hell. First real simp joint. ‘I’m In Love With A Stripper’ – never said I ever got her. Just said I liked her a bunch. ‘Bartender’ – never took her anywhere. She was just a bartender. Never said we fucked or anything. Just me simping from afar.”

When Markman interjected said that the game needed simping back – Pain was confident that Drake has it covered. “Simpin’? Nah, I think Drake got it covered.”

“‘I’m Sprung’ is about falling for a bitch, being that corny n-gga falling for a bitch,” he said at the 6:40 mark. “I’ve always been that corny n-gga. I’ve always been the simp n-gga. I was Drake before Drake, n-gga! I was in love before n-ggas was really cool with being in love with bitches.”
