Travis Scott Sits Down for Astroworld Interview W/ Charlamagne, Says He Didn’t Know Fans Were Injured Until After Concert


HOUSTON-rapper spoke out for the first time about the Nov. 5 hip-hop festival that ended in the deaths of 10 people — including the youngest victim, 9-year-old Ezra Blount — Scott stated he didn’t hear his Houston audience’s screams for help as the victims fell into peril.


On Thursday morning (Dec. 9), an interview with television and radio personality sat down with Charlamagne tha God to discuss Astroworld tragedy on his via YouTube channel a 50-minute conversation─Travis Scott, who starts of the conversation expressing that he has been on "an emotional roller coaster" since the calamity occurred at NRG Stadium in his hometown on Nov. 5, said that he wishes he could heal all of those impacted by the tragedy.


“I’ve been on different types of emotions, an emotional rollercoaster,” Scott said. “It gets so hard because I always feel connected to my fans, and I went through something and my fans went through something and people’s parents went through something and it really hurts. It really hurts the community, it hurts the city. It’s just been a lot of thoughts, a lot of feelings, a lot of grieving, and just trying to wrap my head around it.”
