Tests on ailing hip-hop legend DMX have revealed the rap star is unfortunately still in a vegetative state.
“X” Brain Function Reportedly Unchanged, Family Facing Difficult Decision:
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons was admitted to the hospital in White Plains, New York on April 2 following a heart attack, and sources close to the situation say the rapper has yet to regain brain function.
TMZ reports, on Thursday April 8 following yesterday's tests that DMX’s family is grappling with a hard decision regarding whether to take the 50-year-old legend off life support. He underwent a series of tests on Wednesday, which showed no improvement in brain activity since he was first rushed to the hospital on Friday. DMX is still in a coma, and sources have said the test results were “not good.”
His friend and manager Steve Rifkind is also scheduled to fly to New York on Friday.
“DMX is currently on life support and in a coma. There are multiple people with inaccurate information about his wellbeing and it is not helpful and productive,” Steve Rifkind said in a statement. “He will undergo further tests on his brain function and his family will determine what’s best from there. We appreciate your prayers and support.”

On Sunday, hundreds of fans of DMX attended a prayer vigil organized by his Ruff Ryders crew, in an amazing show of solidarity and support for the legendary rapper.
Fox5 New York’s Lisa Evers was at the scene Sunday, and posted video of the bikers arriving at the hospital.
