50 Cent intends to establish a permanent 'G-dome' as a key attraction in downtown Shreveport.

Leaders from Caddo Parish convened with G-Unit advisers to talk about downtown revitalization, the permanent G-Dome project, and celebrity events.

KSLA reported that the committee specifically focused on discussing the "advancement and extension of the economic impact of the G-Unit Studios in Caddo Parish."

The temporary, inflatable G-Dome that debuted during the 2024 Humor & Harmony Weekend is a precursor to this permanent structure. G-Unit growth advisor announces state partnership, plans to build permanent G-Dome downtown announced the partnership and plans for the permanent G-Dome.

The committee is enthusiastic about 50 Cent's proposals to rejuvenate downtown Shreveport. On Monday (August 18), the committee convened with Orville Hall, the growth adviser for G-Unit, to discuss the specifics of how and when these plans will be implemented.

While Hall didn't specify when these changes will occur, he mentioned that positive developments are on the way.

“So for the people of Shreveport, just watch what’s coming. Watch what’s coming. You’re in the right city,” Hall teased.

Hall announced plans to construct a permanent G-Dome. The temporary, inflatable G-Dome debuted in downtown Shreveport during the 2024 Humor & Harmony Weekend, which Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux confirms will return in March 2026.

Hall also revealed that a number of celebrities will attend next year’s Humor & Harmony.

In March, 50, who is currently leasing a large film and TV studio in the city, received approval for his new project at a Shreveport City Council meeting.

The music mogul and entrepreneur plans to secure a long-term lease on the Stageworks building, intending to transform it into a cutting-edge sports and entertainment facility.

The venue will be partially renovated to accommodate basketball, volleyball, boxing, and MMA events, along with concerts, car shows, and conventions.

50 has secured a 30-year lease for the building, with an option to extend it for an additional 15 years, and his G-Unit Films & Television company will pay a monthly rent of only $200.

He will be in charge of all maintenance and operational expenses.
