As initially reported by The Hollywood Reporter in June, 50 Cent is set to portray Balrog in the forthcoming Street Fighter live-action movie. Balrog made his debut in Street Fighter II as a disgraced boxer working for the main antagonist Vega's criminal organization. The character is inspired by the legendary boxer Mike Tyson.
50 Cent revealed his appearance for the upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie, where he portrays Balrog, by sharing a training video and costume reveal on social media Saturday (Sept. 13). He has been training for the role and was joined by a large cast for the film adaptation of the classic video game.

The hip-hop mogul became part of an extensive cast featuring Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Orville Peck as Vega, 50 Cent as Balrog, and Roman Reigns as Akuma.
The "Street Fighter" film is focused on assembling the ideal cast to provide a more faithful adaptation of the video game than the 1990s version starring Jean-Claude Van Damme.
The original film was released in 1994 and starred Van Damme, Raúl Juliá, Kylie Minogue, and Ming-Na Wen.
