Cam’ron suggests that Shannon Sharpe should have recognized the “warning signs” when a woman is planning a setup

Updated: Apr 24

Shannon Sharpe has denied the claims and says he's planning a defamation lawsuit in response.

The 'It Is What It Is' co-host Cam’ron educates Shannon Sharpe, demonstrating how to recognize when a woman is plotting a setup

Killa Cam puts Shannon Sharpe on game, showing him how to tell when a woman’s plotting a setup. On Wednesday's episode of Mase and Cam'ron's sports talk show It Is What It Is, the Harlem rap icon spoke about the Shannon Sharpe alleged rape incident.

“I been out here shaking and juggling these b****es since 20 years old. I know what you up to,” Cam says around the 15:45 mark on the pod below. “I know when a b***h trying to bait me in the text message to say some dumb sh*t. I ain't writing back. 'You right.' I ain't writing nothing back. You can't get me to write a damn thing back when I see what's going on.”

“You gotta read the signs,” Cam continues. “Like, 'I don't want to get choked.' That ain't something you usually say. You don't usually talk to me like this. Why you talking to me like this now?” He adds, “You know when you answer the phone and they be like, 'Hello, hello, hello.' They setting up...You gotta read all these signs, bro.”

Gabriella “Gabbi” Zuniga, the now 22-year-old OnlyFans model, is suing Shannon Sharpe for $50 million, who was 19 when their relationship began in 2023, reveals explicit text messages, and denies allegations.

The lawsuit was filed by Tony Buzbee, a Texas lawyer who has drawn attention for filing more than three dozen lawsuits against Sean Combs that accuse the music mogul of sexual misconduct. One of the suits also accused the rapper Jay-Z of rape, but that case was withdrawn after some of the details in the accuser’s account unraveled, starting a contentious legal battle between Mr. Buzbee and Jay-Z.

In a video posted on social media on Tuesday (April 22), Sharpe said: “This is a shakedown. I’m going to be open, transparent and defend myself because this isn’t right. This is all being orchestrated by Tony Buzbee.”

The latest audio, per a report from TMZ, was shared on Wednesday (April 23), by Buzbee, who is quoted by the publication as saying the clip stands as “a fair picture of the relationship” between Sharpe and the accuser. Not revealed in the report is the timeline of this particular recording, nor was it immediately clear whether this was from the same conversation as prior alleged audio released earlier this week.

“You’re coming to LA tomorrow?” a woman’s voice is heard asking in the clip, to which a male voice, alleged to be Sharpe, responds “Yes.” From there, the woman is heard questioning why the man would “wanna go out,” with him responding, “Don’t worry about it, Gabi.” Seconds later, the woman says, “Well, I’m not really interested in getting choked so I guess we’re going.”
