The Bronx rapper is being sued for battery, assault, and negligence by a woman who claims she was hit by a microphone thrown by the rapper during a 2023 performance in Las Vegas.

An Ohio woman is now suing, claiming the “Up” rapper overreacted and injured her after she threw a "small portion of her drink" on stage.
The woman—identified as Jane Doe—claims in the lawsuit that the “I Like It” rapper had asked the audience at Drai’s Beachclub to throw water at her to help her cool off, TMZ reported Wednesday.
Back in July 2023, Cardi B overreacted and “forcefully” threw a microphone at her in retaliation for the “small portion” of a drink that the woman splashed onstage during a concert two years ago. The woman says the incident, which was investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department but did not result in any criminal charges against Cardi B, caused her “severe emotional distress, shock, humiliation, and physical injury.”
The microphone was auctioned off for $99,000, which Doe claims “exacerbated [her] emotional distress.” She was not charged when the incident occurred.
