Cardi B referenced her past struggles, writing, All I had was 16 dollars and a dream, to celebrate her nomination for Best Rap Performance for Outside.


The Bronx emcee posted an announcement on Twitter X revealing the nominees for Best Rap Performance — and she tweeted all I had was 16 dollars and a dream.”

This year, new categories have been introduced, including Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. The 2026 Grammys ceremony will take place on February 1 in Los Angeles.

The 2026 Grammy nominees in hip-hop feature Tyler, The Creator, Doechii, Clipse, Fridayy and Meek Mill, JID, Terrace Martin, and GloRilla.


This year's Best Rap Album Grammy nominations feature a fairly expected lineup. Kendrick Lamar's GNX, Tyler, The Creator's CHROMAKOPIA, GloRilla's GLORIOUS, Clipse's Let God Sort Em Out, and JID's God Does Like Ugly all made the list. It's not surprising that many of these artists appear in other categories as well.


Additionally, here are the selections for Best Rap Song. Kendrick's "tv off" featuring Lefty Gunplay, Glo's "TGIF," Tyler's "Sticky" with Glo, Lil Wayne, and Sexyy Red, and Pusha T and Malice's "The Birds Don't Sing" featuring John Legend and Voices Of Fire are among the mentioned names. Doechii's "Anxiety" also received a nomination.


In the Best Melodic Rap Performance category, nominations were given to K.Dot and SZA's "luther" as well as J.I.D.'s "Wholeheartedly" featuring Ty Dolla $ign and 6LACK. Additionally, "SOMEBODY LOVES ME" received a nomination, a track from Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR's collaborative $ome $exy $ongs 4 U album. Terrace Martin, Kenyon Dixon, and Rapsody were nominated for "WeMaj," while Fridayy and Meek Mill earned a nomination for "Proud Of Me."


For Best Rap Performance, the nominations include "tv off" and "Anxiety" once more, along with Clipse's "Chains & Whips" featuring Kendrick Lamar. Cardi B received a nomination for "Outside," and Tyler, The Creator's collaboration with Teezo Touchdown, "Darling, I," also earned a nomination.


Doechii's "Anxiety" and Kendrick and SZA's "luther" are contenders for Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year. Meanwhile, Let God Sort Em Out, GNX, and CHROMAKOPIA are nominated for Album Of The Year. Additionally, Sounwave received a nomination for Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical, for his work on GNX. In other categories, SZA and Kendrick Lamar's "30 For 30" is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Tyler, The Creator's DON'T TAP THE GLASS is up for Best Alternative Music Album.


As for other categories, Rod Wave's "Sinners" is nominated for Best Song Written For Visual Media. The Best Music Video category includes nominations for Doechii's "Anxiety" and Clipse's "So Be It." Mac Miller's Balloonerism and The Spins picture disc vinyl are nominated for Best Recording Package, while Tyler is nominated for Best Album Cover for CHROMAKOPIA.
