DJ Khaled Announces Song 'Higher' With Proceeds to Nipsey Hussle's Children

DJ Khaled took to social media on Wednesday (May 15) to share a letter about a special interaction he had with the late Nipsey Hussle.

"Recently, I embarked on a soul-searching journey down a road I never thought I would travel in a million years," he wrote. "It began when a tragedy robbed the world of an enlightened soul, a brother a father, a partner and my friend, Nipsey Hussle."

"Just days prior, he shared his energy and positivity with me on a video set for a song called, 'Higher.' After much prayer and reflection; and with the full blessing of the Asghedom family, I am sharing that moment with you."

Khaled ended his message by revealing that all proceeds from "Higher" will go to Nipsey's two children, Emani and Kross. The late rapper died on Mar. 31 after he was gunned down outside his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles.

The producer's upcoming album, Father of Asahd, is out May 17. See his full message about Nip below.
