The official memorial services for Hip-hop lcon and actor Earl “DMX” Simmons have been announced.
DMX's Public Memorial Service at Barclays Center to Be Live Streamed on YouTube This Saturday
DMX will be honored by family, friends and fans in a public memorial service ahead of his private funeral.
The public memorial is set to be held at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Saturday, April 24, prior to a private funeral at a New York City church on Sunday, April 25.
DMX's celebration of life memorial on Saturday will begin at 4 p.m. ET, and will be live streamed on DMX's YouTube channel. The homegoing celebration will be held on Sunday at 2:30 pm ET and will broadcast live on BET and its YouTube channel.
Attendance to both the Celebration of Life memorial and the homegoing celebration will be restricted to close friends and family due to health and safety guidelines. New York State currently limits indoor arenas to 10% capacity. New York State COVID-19 testing guidelines and protocols will be followed.
Only close friends and family will be allowed to attend the memorial services.
