Drake debuted new ink on his upper left arm at Wireless Fest in London

Many fans noticed. It was revealed on Friday (July 11), Night 1 at the Wireless Festival in London, that Drizzy Drake covered up his ‘Irish 23’ LeBron tattoo with a Shai Gilgeous-Alexander “Thunder 2.” Back in 2018, tattoo artist Inal Bersekov inked LeBron James from his old high school days at St. Vincent-St. Mary wearing the historic ‘Irish’ jersey, which sold at an auction in 2019 for $187,500. It’s the same jersey that LBJ wore on the legendary Sports Illustrated cover, where he was dubbed ‘The Chosen One.’ But that piece of art is replaced by Thunder and 2, a shout-out to SGA. Drake isn't the only one changing his stance; LeBron has also found new artists to jam with.

The replacement tattoo on Drake’s left bicep now features a Thunder jersey with the No. 2 - the number worn by the reigning MVP, Finals MVP and latest NBA 2k cover star.

In addition to the SGA tattoo, both hailing from Canada, have publicly supported each other. The Thunder guard even appeared in the music video for Drake’s track “Nokia” and has been spotted at his concerts.

Drake also sports tattoos of other NBA stars, including Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. Though he's friends with many athletes, not all relationships have stayed strong, as seen with his now-faded ties to both LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan.
