Joe & Jada Host Father's Day Lunch at Sei Less for Dads Impacted by Criminal Justice System
Fat Joe and Jadakiss teamed up with NYC’s premier Asian fusion hotspot Sei Less to host a heartfelt Father’s Day celebration.
The two hip-hop legends hosted a Father’s Day luncheon at Sei Less NYC on Wednesday afternoon (June 11) for 70 fathers and their families who have been impacted by the criminal justice system.
In partnership with Reform Alliance and hosted at Sei Less, one of the most popular Asian fusion restaurants in the city, the two rap legends invite fathers who have been adversely affected by the criminal justice system.”
During the luncheon, Joe & Jada shared words of wisdom and traded stories with the families on hand while munching on an array of delectable Asian fusion dishes at the Manhattan staple.
Fat Joe spoke about the purpose of the event, and how it creates community to a population of people who are often marginalized.
“This my hood, this where I’m from. I’m gonna always give back to my community forever,” Joe said. “The importance of events like today is that you got guys like us cosigning these dads and letting them know that we stand with them because they need that moral support.”
“Working with Fat Joe, Jadakiss, and Reform to celebrate these fathers at Sei Less was truly special,” Dara Mirjahangiry, co-founder of Sei Less. “Ahead of Father’s Day, we really wanted to shine a light on these fathers who have been impacted by the criminal justice system and support their re-entry journey with compassion. It was a powerful way to bond through culture, community, and cuisine.”
Wow, this is such a powerful initiative—major respect to Fat Joe and Jadakiss for using their platform to uplift these fathers. Giving back like this really changes lives, and it’s amazing to see hip-hop culture stepping up for real community healing. I know how tough things can get for families impacted by the system—it happened to someone close to me, and support like this means everything. Also, huge thanks to Assignment Help Canada—they helped me stay focused on my own goals while I supported my family through some tough times. 💯 This story really hit home.
