Fat Joe says that Drake is a key factor in hip-hop's ability to remain in the Billboard Hot 100’s top 40 over the past decade.

Fat Joe and Jadakiss also predicted that Drake's upcoming album, “Iceman,” will achieve significant success on the charts
Fat Joe has acknowledged the influence of Drake's music, noting that Drake's frequent success on the Billboard Hot 100 has significantly contributed to hip-hop's presence in the top 40 over the past decade. Although Fat Joe hasn't collaborated with Drake on a specific track that made it to the Hot 100, his remarks pertain to Drake's overall impact and steady achievements, as well as his own recent podcast discussions about Drake's music, like "What Did I Miss?".
On the Joe and Jada podcast, Joe stated that Drake’s consistent presence and success on the charts, with many songs hitting number one, has been crucial in keeping the hip-hop genre consistently represented in the top 40 of the Hot 100.
“You realize that Drake was probably keeping us in that top 40 for f*ckin' 5, 10 years. Like, every record he made was going number 1,” he says in a clip circulating on Twitter X. “I think he's battling Michael Jackson for the most number 1s.”
Both Fat Joe and Jadakiss agreed that they anticipate Drake's return to dominate the charts with his upcoming studio album. Although he hasn't announced a release date for Iceman, he has already released several singles from the eagerly awaited project. These include "What Did I Miss?", "Which One" featuring Central Cee, and "Dog House" featuring Yeat and Julia Wolf. He introduced the tracks through three different livestream broadcasts. In a conversation with Complex earlier this week, Drake hinted at more livestreams coming before the complete project is released. “The finale will be our best work,” he said.
In addition to Iceman, Drake also collaborated with PartyNextDoor on the joint album, Some Sexy Songs 4 U, earlier this year. This project debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 246,000 album-equivalent units. Their track, “Nokia,” became a major hit, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100.
