J. Cole finally reveals long-awaited album 'The Fall-Off'
The highly anticipated new album by J. Cole, The Fall-Off is set to be released next month.
On Wednesday (Jan. 14), Cole released a teaser trailer for the much-anticipated project, announcing a new release date of Feb. 6. This album comes after 2021’s The Off-Season and 2024’s Might Delete Later mixtape.
As the teaser was shared, accompanied by narration about the natural rise and fall of fame, Cole guided fans to this site. There, you can now pre-order The Fall-Off on vinyl.
“This is the first-ever pressing of The Fall-Off,” reads the product description. “This limited edition was assembled under the strongest security measures possible in hopes to preserve the reveal of album artwork and music until the moment they were intended to be released. Production demanded full-scale, around-the-clock security in multiple facilities across North America to provide the best chance of success. With special packaging modifications, we are calling this first pressing the ‘Stealth Edition,’ and it will be the only time the album will be available in this form.”

Fans have been anticipating The Fall-Off for a long time, having first been informed of its future release due to
The song "1985," which is the final track on Cole's 2018 album KOD and subtitled "Intro to The Fall-Off," was soon accompanied by an update from Cole where he informed fans that he was "workin' on it."
Cole also referenced the album in various later verses, including in his and Drake's 2023 hit “First Person Shooter,” as follows:
“I’m namin' the album The Fall-Off, it's pretty ironic 'cause it ain't no fall-off for me”
