Three months after the tragic death of Hip-Hop Icon DMX, a mural honoring the late rapper was unveiled in his hometown of Yonkers, New York.

DMX, whose real name was Earl Simmons, died in April at age 50 after suffering a “catastrophic cardiac arrest.”
X's was memorialized with a mural unveiled on Tuesday morning, by Yonkers community near the Calcagno public housing complex on School Street where DMX once lived. The mural, which measures 35 feet by 22 feet, According to NBC New York, the tribute was designed by Floyd Simmons.
The mural was reportedly part of a restoration project on an existing mural, and residents asked that the restoration include a tribute to DMX.
