In a recent GQ interview, Pusha T explained the comeback project was initially slated for release through Def Jam, but the label ultimately balked at a guest verse from Kendrick Lamar.

Pusha T and No Malice recently revealed to GQ that Def Jam, along with their parent company UMG, sought to remove Kendrick Lamar's feature from Clipse's new album. Apparently, they didn't like the idea of Drizzy's two biggest hip-hop opps teaming up on a track again.

Clipse is set to release their first new album in 15 years, Let God Sort Em Out, on July 11th in partnership with Roc Nation.

Pusha also weighed in on Drake suing UMG over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

“I don't rate him anymore. The suing thing is bigger than some rap sh*t.”

“Damn, it's like it just cheapens the art of it once we have to have real questions about suing and litigation. Like, what? For this?”
