Blacc Sam announces late Nipsey Hussle’s The Marathon Burger will be coming to Times Square in NYC
Nipsey Hussle’s The Marathon Burger is set to arrive in Times Square, New York City, as announced by Nip’s brother, Blacc Sam.
The Marathon Burger, a restaurant brand paying tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle, his brother, Blacc Sam, who is the owner, is launching a new location in Times Square, New York City. After the success of their main location in Los Angeles, this expansion marks the burger spot's arrival on the East Coast.
On the latest episode of the Scottie & Friends Podcast, released on Thursday (Feb. 26), Blacc Sam announced that The Marathon Burger is set to open in New York City, particularly in the vibrant Times Square. This new venue will be the brand's first expansion beyond Los Angeles, where three original locations have been thriving for years.
“Yeap, we got a New York location locked and loaded, Times Square,” Sam said. “So I think that’s going to be huge. It’s under renovation now. Gotta do it.”
For Sam, the relocation is not just about strategic expansion. It holds personal significance, being closely tied to the vision of his late brother, Nipsey Hussle. “Hussle loved New York,” he shared.
“Hussle went out there and was living out there when he was doing his mixtapes, when he first got signed. New York embraced him.”
That initial embrace profoundly influenced Nipsey's perspective and aspirations. Sam noted that the rapper frequently advocated for establishing a presence in the city.
