Jay-Z seemly spills "Throne" sequel return on Kanye's Donda album: ‘This might be the return of the throne’.
Kanye West and Jay-Z reunites on DONDA
Kanye West premiered his 10th studio album DONDA at a listening event at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Thursday night. Following collaborations with Playboi Carti, Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch, Pop Smoke, Don Toliver, Baby Keem, Lil Baby, Post Malone, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, and Ye played one last song that had the stadium shook.
Jay-Z was featured on what looked to be the last track on Donda and the 4:44 rapper even teased a possible sequel to the pair’s 2011 collaborative album Watch the Throne.
Shortly after the track premiered, According to Jay-Z's longtime partner Guru via tweeted that Hov recorded his verse less than seven hours ago today.
‘HOV did the verse today!!! At 4pm’, @Young_Guru wrote.
Jay hasn't collaborated on a Kanye track since Clique in 2012.
“Donda, I’m wit your baby when I touch back road,” he raps. “Told him stop all that red cap, we goin’ home / Cannot be with all of these sins casting stones / This might be the return of The Throne / Hova and Yeezy like Moses and Jesus.”
