Jeezy shares how his Uber Driver ensured he reached Baltimore in time for his show

Jeezy expresses gratitude to his Uber driver for completing a 10-hour journey to ensure he reached his destination in Baltimore.

The Atlanta rap veteran recent visit to Baltimore was nearly canceled, but thanks to the quick actions of an Uber driver named Tanner, it went ahead as planned.

Jeezy's Baltimore show almost didn't occur, but due to determination, quick thinking, and an unexpected hero named Tanner, the Snowman arrived just in time.

On Monday (August 4), the Atlanta rap legend recounted on social media the chaotic day, detailing how he woke up to find out that all flights to Baltimore and D.C. were canceled because of the weather. The rapper was traveling to the city for his Jeezy Present TM: 101 Live tour.

With no alternatives available, his team organized for a driver to transport him by car. However, only two hours into the trip, calamity occurred: they collided with an object on the highway, which punctured the gas tank and compelled them to halt at a small gas station in South Carolina.

In a rush to find an alternative plan, Jeezy’s team attempted to arrange a jet, but weather issues rendered it too dangerous. Consequently, they called an Uber to reach a car rental place. Once the driver showed up, they packed up and started their journey, but eight minutes into the trip, Jeezy made a proposal.

“I said, ‘Hey, we need to go to Baltimore,’” Jeezy recalled. “I asked how much he’d charge… he replied, ‘Let me think about it.’ I assured him whatever it was, he’d have it.”

Without hesitation, Tanner kept driving. Ten hours later, they rolled into Baltimore just ten minutes before showtime. As a thank-you, Jeezy gifted his driver a Snowman tee and brought him in as his guest.

“Shout out to the real MVP, my Uber driver Tanner,” Jeezy wrote. “Not all heroes wear capes.”
