Kanye West, also known as Ye, performed for an estimated 70,000 people in Shanghai, China. The concert took place at the Shanghai Stadium on Saturday (July 12), It was Kanye West's first concert in nearly a year in Shanghai, China.
This wasn't Ye only recent performance in China; in September 2024, he held a sold-out "Vultures Listening Experience" event in Haikou, Hainan, which attracted 42,000 attendees and generated substantial tourism revenue for the city.
In September 2024, Ye held a listening event at the Wuyuanhe Stadium in Haikou, South China's Hainan Province. The event generated 373 million yuan in tourism revenue and about 51 million yuan in ticket sales, with 96.5 percent of ticket buyers coming from outside the island. Tickets for that event also sold out rapidly.
In addition to the Ye 70k sold show, according to HotNewHipHop, it was one of the biggest hip-hop concerts in China's history.
