Both SZA and Kendrick Lamar fans have been waiting for new music for some time.
TDE Teases New Music: ‘The Wait Is Ovah!’
Top Dawg Entertainment boss Anthony Tiffith has sent fans into a frenzy after sharing a post announcing the record label would be releasing new music by one of its artists. In a tweet, the label executive wrote “THE WAIT IS OVER #TDE” and shared a brief clip showing a retro loading bar.
It’s unclear which of the label’s artists will be dropping, but fans are hoping for new music from Kendrick Lamar, whose last album DAMN. was released in 2017.
The official TDE account also reposted the May 7 date.
Fans immediately began speculating over which artist on TDE’s roster would be dropping new material, with most hoping for either Kendrick Lamar or SZA.
