Lil Wayne is set to launch his own convention, Lil’ WeezyCon, during his annual Lil’ Weezyana Festival this month in partnership with Live Nation. The event, announced by Live Nation Urban on Thursday, October 24, is a collaboration with the Culture Creators Foundation, promising a day filled with creativity, inspiration, and networking opportunities.
This year's Lil Weezyana Fest plans to hold a proper Hot Boys reunion at Weezy's annual music festival.
In addition to Lil’ WeezyAna Fest, Live Nation Urban and Lil Wayne have an exciting weekend in store for New Orleans, beginning with the DJ Drama & Friends Pre-Party at 7:00 PM CT on Friday, November 1. The following day, Lil Wayne brings Weezycon, which will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT at The Fillmore.
The free event will be hosted by Culture Creators and feature inspiring conversations from the likes of HaSizzle, Tarionna Tank Ball (Tank of “Tank and The Bangas”), Sony Digital, and more. Capping off the weekend will be a special Thank You Brunch on Sunday, November 3, hosted by Cita and Reginae Carter with Rude Jude.
On Tuesday (Sept. 3), it was announced that the legendary New Orleans rap group, composed of Weezy, Turk, B.G., and Juvenile, will headline the next installment of the Lil WeezyAna Fest. Taking place at NOLA's Smoothie King Center on Nov. 2, also on the bill are Rob49 and DJ-producer Mannie Fresh.
The flyer reads "Lil Wayne presents a Hot Boys Reunion" with Juvenile, B.G. and Turk with a special DJ set by Mannie Fresh plus a performance from fellow New Orleans rapper Rob49. The festival — produced by Young Money, DMANI and Live Nation Urban — is going down on November 2 at the Smoothie King Center, which is across the street from the venue where Hot Boys first attempted to reunite over the summer.
