Weezy teases track collaboration with LSU basketball Star Flau’jae Johnson.
On ESPN’s The Bird & Taurasi Show, women's basketball fan Lil Wayne shared that, thanks to LSU head coach Kim Mulkey, that he will be collaborating on a track with Tigers freshman guard Flau’jae Johnson.
“We’re about to connect musically soon,” New Orleans legend told the two on the alternate broadcast of Friday night’s LSU-Virginia Tech 2023 women’s NCAA tournament Final Four game. “Be looking out for that.”
Days after winning the 2023 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship, she tweeted, “Imagine Winning A National Championship Your FRESHMAN Year! Then Getting A Lil Wayne Feature Right After ??! What is life.”
Johnson has signed a music deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label, so collaborations could be on the horizon for the basketball player/musician.
Since signing with Roc Nation back in 2020 she has collaborated with artists like Boosie Badazz, YFN Lucci, and Lil Baby. When she was twelve she starred in a reality show called The Rap Game hosted by Jermaine Dupri on the Lifetime network.
Flau’Jae has been spitting bars since she was in middle school, following in the of her father, Camouflage. Flau’Jae has only grown in her national exposure since appearing on season three of The Rap Game. As previously stated, Johnson currently signed with Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter label Roc Nation and she also appeared three times on America’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent: All-Stars
