Weezy's Hard-Hitting 2011 Mixtape 'Sorry 4 The Wait' Is Coming to Streaming Services
Lil Wayne's mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait is set to be added to streaming services for the first time since its release in 2011, the rapper has teased.
On Saturday (January 8), Lil Wayne took to Instagram with a post announcing the news, accompanied by an animated video sound-tracked. Tunechi didn’t reveal a release date, but he did notify fans that the mixtape is available to pre-save on Spotify and Apple Music.
The announcement includes Gunplay’s “Rollin” played. In the caption, he said, “on all platforms soon.” No release date yet. Take a look:
The 12-track tape was shared as an apology for the delays around Weezy’s ninth album Tha Carter IV. He had begun work on the record in 2008, but didn’t realise it until just over a month after Sorry 4 The Wait.
Featuring beats jacked from Meek Mill, Drake, Kreyshawn, Adele, Miguel, and more, one of the project's hardest songs came by way of a Gunplay and Waka Flocka flip. "Rollin."
