Nas shared his thoughts on today’s rappers “there’s no one keeping me up at night”

Nas is not losing sleep over today’s rappers.

Nas doesn’t feel like he’s in competition with younger rappers

During an interview with Financial Times, the New Yorker discussed everything from his storied career, his ventures in other industries and the current state of hip hop. When on the last topic, he noted Pop Smoke’s potential.

“I appreciate what’s out there, but there’s no one keeping me up at night,” he told the magazine. “I hear a new rap record and think it’s great, but I don’t listen to it the next week.” I guess Hit-Boy was the one making sure Nas stayed up-to-date on his new album.

Regardless of his comments, it does seem like Nas is embracing some newly established artists. Fivio Foreign, Lil Durk, Big Sean, Don Toliver, and ASAP Ferg were among the guest appearances on Nas’ King’s Disease album from last year.
